Theo Peoples, born in St. Louis, Missouri and the son of a preacher - was discovered by Ron Tyson and tapped to replace Richard Street in the long-lived Motown group The Temptations. Peoples eventually left The Temptations and ended up joining another classic-era Motown act, The Four Tops..
Since Theo made his national debut as a Temptation, he has earned his reputation as the voice that embodies soul music’s storied past as well as its bright future. No one else can lay claim to leading two of pop music’s most venerable groups.
During a few days off from touring, Theo had received music tracks and lyric sheets created by producers, songwriters ToneLee (Tony Johnson and Lee Loving out of Chicago, Illinois) through a mutual acquaintance who thought such material suited Theo’s vocals like a hand in glove. ToneLee had no idea who Theo Peoples was at the time, so they didn’t expect much of it. But once Theo stepped into the vocal booth and started to sing, they knew the voice! Working around his busy touring schedule, ToneLee was able to lay down Theo’s vocals here and there – finally finishing in late 2007. In '08 ToneLee then went back into the studio and teamed up with Mr. Rodney Trotter from Holland Dozier Holland - aka Sir Nose to increase the old school funk on all the tracks.
Released under a new recording label RLT Music (a division of RLT Music & Film Works, Inc.), the end results is…."Life’s II Short".
